Background- Hootie & the Blowfish is one of the most popular American pop-rock band. The band was formed at the University of South Carolina by Darius Rucker, Dean Felber, Jim "Soni" Sonefeld and Mark Bryan. Their debut album "Cracked Rear View" became a huge success and went platinum 16 times in the U.S. and also became the best-selling album of 1995. The singles "Hold My Hand", "Let Her Cry", "Only Wanna Be With You", and "Time" were a hit. They also won the "Best New Artist" at the Grammy Awards, in 1996. After that there was no looking back.
