Grizzly Bear is the indie rock group out of Broklyn with Daniel Rossen playing guitar and writing the songs, Ed Doste playing the guitar and writing songs as well, Chris Taylor on bass and singing the lead, and Chistopher Bear on drums and singing as well. The group really focuses on acoustic guitar and harmonizing with the Taylor and Bear. Grizzly Bear tickets promise a show free of electric guitars and full of folk lyrics with a haunting collaboration of voices.

The band has been called many things- experimental rock, folk rock, and indie rock- and they continue to work without pledging allegiance to a single genre. Grizzly Bears debuted in 2004 with the record Horn of Plenty under Kanine Records. The album featured songs a plethora of sounds and voices layering a sophisticated album that was called anti-folk, lo-fi, and freak folk. The atmospheric sound found a home and the group sold concert tickets as key members of the music media began to spread the word about the band.
