Gorillaz Tickets for Sale

Gorillaz is truly a postmodern band, comprised of 2D animated characters making an indelible mark on the music landscape. The creations of Damon Alburn, the singer-songwriter from Blur, and Jamie Hewlett, the co-creator of the cult-comic book series Tank Girl, these four animated musicians first appeared in 2000, years later fans are still waiting for Gorillaz tickets for the groups first world tour.

The group came out of Alburn and Hewlett's experience watching MTV one day, noting the substance-less videos in 1998. The result was a band to mock that very sentiment. Gorillaz became a project with a lead singer and a comic book artist as the only real members. The group's self titled debut album did exceedingly well, and the fans worldwide waited to see what the next step was that a fake band could take.

The next step would have been a few DVDs, but a conflict between funding and creatives left fans out in the cold until 2005 when the sophomore album finally hit the shelves. Gorillaz took the next step with Demon Days, again going platinum and winning a Grammy Award for the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for the song Feel Good Inc. The interesting part came when the band appeared "live at the 2006 Grammy's.

Sorry, no upcoming events found at this time.

Using new imaging technology, the four band mates (2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs) appeared on stage besides rappers and Madonna. This prompted fans to expect some sort of a tour, and indeed the creators of Gorillaz intended to give them such a concert. However, the plans fell through due to the estimated cost of the tour.

Years later, Gorillaz is ready to return with a third album, Plastic Beach, and this time they will give a few live performances. Notably, tickets for the first night of the Coachella music festival are Gorillaz tickets because they are headlining the summer music event. In addition, the Gorillaz will play at the Camden Roundhouse in London on April 29 and 30, 2010. A fourth concert has been added with the announcement that the group will play the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

OnlineSeats will have tickets for all these events, so while Gorillaz tickets for individual shows may be difficult to come by, tickets fro summer festivals are available to see the band live in concert, or perhaps it is better to say 3D in concert.
