Gogol Bordello Tickets for Sale

Gogol Bordello is a legendary Gypsy punk rock band from New York . The band is fronted by vocalist Eugene Hutz. Eugene began his tryst with music when he began listening to Einsturzande Neubauten and Birthday Party in his native country of Ukraine. But he left the country after the disastrous Chernobyl nuclear plant catastrophe in 1986.

He then traveled from Hungary, Poland, Austria to Italy and finally ended up in America in 1993. The initial years were very difficult for Eugene. But he adjusted soon enough and continued to pursue his musical ambitions. He teamed up with squeeze box player Sasha Kazatchkoff and guitarist Vlad Solofar. The trip then added drummer Eliot Ferguson to get that strong rock sound they were looking for. Sergei Riabtsev joined the band on the fiddle.

The band played all over the New York circuit and earned an ardent and dedicated fan following. The band issued their debut single, "When The Trickster Comes A Pokin" in 1999. This was followed by a full length debut titled, "Voi-La Intruder." Changes in the lineup were seen as Kazatchkoff and Solofar left the band and were replaced by accordionist Yuriv Lemeshev, guitarist Oren Kaplan and saxophonist Ori Kaplan. The band embarked on a highly successful European Tour in 2002.

It was during the course of this tour that they performed as part of the Whitney Biennial. The band released, "Gypsy King" and the "East Infection" in 2005.
