George Lopez (born April 23, 1961 in Mission Hills, California) is a Latino American comedian, actor and entertainer and star of a self-titled, ABC sitcom, The George Lopez Show.

He embarked on a 30 city personal appearance tour, which culminated with three sold-out nights at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles in October, 2003. Lopez received the 2003 Imagen Vision Award, 2003 Latino Spirit Award for Excellence in Television and the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Award.
