 Her friend Mark Roberts also helped her financing her records. She got an administrative job at Ardent Records. During this time her "Eighteen Over Me" hit the market. Despite of a critically acclaimed single "Superhero", the album proved uncomfortable for her. "I wasn't quite in my skin, the songs came from a dark time, loaded with growing pains about my music and me," Starrr added.
Garrison Starr moved from Nashville to Los Angeles and began to write songs with Clay Jones. In 2002, Starrr came up with " Songs From Take-Off ". It became a huge hit. Many copies were sold and Starrr's fan base began to increase incredibly. She began to perform her live concerts all around the country. All the concerts drew large number of audiences. She got everything she was looking from her music. In addition to her own concerts, Starrr also spent time on the road singing for Mary Chapin Carpenter as well as opening shows for Steve Earle. She also stepped in for a sick Carpenter during Emmylou Harris' Concerts for a Landmine-Free World. In 2004, Starrr released her album " Airstreams & Satellites ". This album also did great business.
Starrr will release a new studio album, Airstreams & Satellites, in 2004. Starrr returned to Nashville again and teamed up with bassist/engineer Brad Jones and Neilson Hubbard to release her fourth album. The name of the album was "The Sound of You and Me" and it was released in March, 2006.
