Football - AFL Tickets
The Arena Football League is the most prominent indoor football league in the United States. Played on fields half the size of the NFL, this is a league meant to produce incredibly fast-paced and high-scoring games. This style of play has endeared AFL tickets to fans in the 14 markets.
The AFL debuted in 1987, making it the third oldest football league still running today. It took a while for the league to develop as first the man with the inspiration for the game, Jim Foster, moved on from his job with the NFL to the USFL. Only after the upstart USFL folded, did Foster find the time to make the Arena Football League a reality.
The AFL has since almost gone bankrupt, but has made a comeback with new backers. These new owners have rekindled the spirit that made this league so popular in the first place. Today 14 teams begin the season in hopes of playing in the Arena Bowl.
The AFL season does not run concurrent with the NFL. Instead, it is played in the spring months. This model has kept the league thriving and fans hope it continues to do so as they look forward to the new season.
