Fiend Fest
Are you a punk rock fan? Not a mainstream, user-friendly, heavy-mascara, stick-out-your-tongue punk rock fan but a real down and dirty, safety pins and sins punk rock fan? Then you need to get in gear and grab your tickets to hear the unearthly screams at the Fiend Fest! This is the ultimate place of pilgrimage for every self-respecting punk rock fan and you haven't heard loud music until you've exposed your ears to the high-velocity shredding and distortion of the Fiend Fest.
Music festivals and tours come in many shapes and sizes and cater to almost every kind of genre. There are a number of great venues to choose from if you are into pop, heavy metal, folk, country or hip hop. But when it comes to getting a dose of pure, unadulterated punk it gets a little complicated. The sad fact is that despite the many genres that punk has influenced and the number of bands that use punk sounds, finding a purely punk music tour is not an easy task.
This is precisely where the Fiend Fest comes in. Started in 2003, the Fiend Fest is the evil brainchild of none other than Jerry Only of the Misfits. The Misfits already have their own record label and this tour not only showcases the best in today's real punk rock scene, it also features at least one band from the Misfits label. The tour has not reached the proportions of Ozzfest or the Warped Tour but it is the prime tour to catch if you want a healthy helping of hardcore punk, horror punk and just plain old, kick-ass punk.

Artist Biography - Fiend Fest
|
The tour debuted in 2003 and was held again in 2006. The 2003 line-up was a truly killer affair with The Misfits being joined by none other than Marky Ramone of the Ramones on stage. A punk tour would just not be a punk tour if Black Flag didn't make an appearance and what an appearance it made with none other than Des Cadena representing. Seeing a line up like this would be reason enough to check the tour out but that wasn't all- fans were also treated to performances by The Damned, The Dickies, Agnostic Front, Japans' own Balzac and .D.I.
2006 was no less deadly with Marky Ramone appearing this time with the star-studded Osaka Popstar. Fans were reeling under the wicked vibes of bands like Juicehead, Orange, The Adicts, UK Subs and of course the Misfits themselves. If you missed the first two tours, make sure you're ready when the Fiend Fest wails again- get to your online ticket vendor right now and order your tickets to see the Fiend Fest tour!
