Fergi the American pop and R&B singer-songwriter, and actress was born on March 27, 1975 in Whittier, California. She and her sister had a strict Catholic upbringing, inspite of that she was involved with members of the Mexican gangs in Hacienda Heights. She fronted the Wild Orchid along with with Stefanie Ridel and fellow Kids Incorporated star Renee Sandstrom while in her mid teens. After releasing two albums, the Wild orchid's record label refused to release their third one, and subsequently Fergi left the group. She was disappointed with the band's image, and her addiction problem. She was addicted to crystal methamphetamine. Fergi joined the Black Eyed Peas on temporary basis in 2003 but after recording five songs with them, she was made the permanent vocalist of the band. The band until then was a huge success underground, started getting adulation in mainstream. Ferguson has not left the Black Eyed Peas, but is perusing her solo career after two hit albums with the band. Her maiden solo album was the Dutchess which was released on September 19, 2006. Her solo album follows the same style as that of Black Eyed Peas, and it has four hit songs. 'London Bridge' and 'Glamorous' which became number one singles, 'Fergalicious' peaked at #2 and 'Big Girls Don't Cry' is her fourth single. Fergi has been pursuing her acting career along with music. She had started off as a child actor, and was in the TV program Kids Incorporated for several years with Renee Sandstrom. She has done voiceover for Sally Brown, in two Charlie Brown specials: It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown (1984), and Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown (1985). She was also there in the 2006 movie, Poseidon. Ferguson was at 36 position on Maxim's Hot 100 Women of 2006, and in 2007 she has moved upwards and is at #10. She is currently dating an actor of the the television show Las Vegas; Josh Duhamel.
