Artist Biography - Fall Out Boy
|
It's all started when four enthusiastic members of the band gathered in suburban Wilmette around 2000. All the members, Vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stumph, drummer Andrew Hurly, bassist Peter Wentz, and guitarist Joseph Trohman had all been consistently in and out of various talented units connected to Chicago's popular underground hardcore scene. The quartet used the so called unbridled intensity of pure hardcore as a deep foundation for their melody-drenched pop-punk comprised with a heavy debt to the sizzling Emo scene. The band debuted with a full fledged self-released demo in 2001; followed by a split LP on Uprising in May 2002 which also featured Project Rocket. After signing a healthy deal with Gainesville, the band got a chance to record their proper debut. Their next anticipated album "Grave" appeared in May 2003, and the band garnered many encouraging reviews for its special gigs at South by Southwest and many tour appearances. Currently the band comprises: Patric Stump (guitar, lead vocals), Joe Trohman (guitar), Pete Wentz (bass, vocals) and Andy Hurley (drums). You can experience their electrifying performance, but don't forget to get your tickets from your on-line ticket vendor to avoid the huge rush for tickets.
