Eugene Edwards
After receiving an experience of running a country band and other roots bands, he came to Los Angeles. Here, his career blossomed as a songwriter and he started giving performances with his own songs. He was first a solo singer, then he became a songwriter and later on, he came up with a band.
Edwards has also given his performances in the films. He has performed on the soundtrack of a film Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus. In the film, he has played the traditional "Wayfarin' Stranger." He has also made his appearance in the film, playing "Phyllis Ruth." This is a 16 Horsepower song from 1997's Low Estate that went as a mega hit. Edwards is a happily married man with two children, a boy and a girl.
His music and lyrics are known to be pure and simple. They are also known for their catchy, poppy, enthusiastic power-pop nature.
He has performed with everything on an album except the drums. He relies solely on his band, as his live show is his life for him. His band is composed of Mike "Soupy" Sessa who is known for playing drums (Fear, Cracker, Rosie Flores, the Bellrays); Brian Whelan who plays with bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals; John Hoskinson who is holding on with rhythm guitar and vocals. These talents of his bands are often joined by Ted Kamp on bass and vocals, and Robbie Rist on bass, guitar, and vocals.

Artist Biography - Eugene Edwards
|
David Eugene Edwards, an American musician, was born on 1968 in Englewood, Colorado.
He has got a wonderful hold on his lyric writing and almost all his songs have that depth instilled with deep emotions to woo the audiences. Besides, his voice has the pain and emotions that makes the music lovers his fans. He happens to be the lead singer of Woven Hand.
Other than being a singer, he is also a main songwriter. Not stopping here after displaying his two versatile talents, he is also the principal musician on the recordings of the band. He also has the credit of being a former lead singer of 16 Horsepower. It is really hard to categorise his music under one label. Many veterans tried to label categories to his music, but all in vain. His music is free and independent in nature and defies the simple genre categorization. The very reason for it is that it has elements of old-time, folk, punk, medieval, gypsy and Native American music. His lyrics also have varied range of emotions, including pain, conflict, faith and redemption.
Edwards remembers that he became a big fish in a small pond when he was 17. He went to join Berklee College of Music in Boston. However, his spirit of learning declined there as he saw that the students there where still naïve to the music. He then left back to Yana.
