‘Elm Grove’ Village of Waukesha County in Wisconsin, the USA has a total area of 3.3 square miles. Its entire region is land area. Currently this village is governed by a village president, Neil Palmer. He is head of the Village Board of Trustees. The Village Trustees comprise of seven members. Each member is elected for a two-year term.

The Village Board had granted permission to hire a sharpshooter in its Indian Hills Estates subdivision in late 2006 to kill a deer in an effort to curb overpopulation. This decision had been a bone of contention as it was challenged by several environmental activists. This village is known for housing a very wonderful library, Elm Grove Public Library. This village was in the limelight in 1999 when a teenage civil rights activist was found to be in connection with an underage drinking hoax.

According to 2000 census reports, Elm Grove has 6,249 inhabitants, 1,784 families and 2,444 households. Its population density is 1,918.6 people per square mile. It has 2,556 housing units at an average density of 784.7/sq mi. The racial makeup of this village is 97.14% Whites, 0.43% African Americans, 0.11% Native Americans, 1.49% Asians, 0.08% Pacific Islanders, 0.40% from miscellaneous races and 0.35% from two or more races. Its Hispanic or Latino population consists of 1.20% of the total population.

29.7% of its 2,444 households are children under the age of 18, who reside in the family setup, 67.6% are married couples living together, 4.3% has a female bread earner without husbands and 27.0% are non-families. A big chunk of them at 24.7% are individuals and 12.1% live alone. The sex ratio of this village is 89.5 males for every 100 females. It has 86.0 males for every 100 females aged 18 and above.

This village is home to the Pilgrim Park Middle School and Tonawanda Elementary school. It has many local high schools as well. Its Brookfield East High School and Brookfield Central High School are the educational institutions at par.
