Dramarama is an alternative rock/ power pop band, based in Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in their native New Jersey, in 1982, and disbanded in 1994, formally united in 2003. The reunion was followed by an appearance on VH1's Band Reunited reality show. It was a "where are they now" documentary that pointed out first time since the disbanding that the entire original lineup performed together. The evolving lineup of band since 1996, was fronted by singer/ songwriter John Easdale, who has been performing in one incarnation or another. Since then till 2003, he has played occasional shows in the L.A area, as well as in New Jersey. The picture has changed since the band reunited in January2004, the amid renewed interest. They gave a large-scale appearance at KROQ-FM's annual Inland Invasion festival concert in September 2003. The show pulled the audience of about 78,000 fans. After that, Dramarama has been touring nationally in 2004 and 2005. at the same time they also released their first new, full-length studio CD, title "everybody dies," on October 25, 2005.

Dramarama formed in and around Wayne, New Jersey, in 1982. it was the same place where there founding members Chris Carter owned a record store called Looney Tunez Records. The initial line-up had the singer/ songwriter John Easdale, "Mr. E Boy" and Carter, who were later accompanied by Peter Wood on guitars and Jesse Farbman on drums. St after their third album, Jesse left the group and was eventually replaced by drummer Clem Burke, who was previously a part of band called Blondie. Other members of the band were a keyboardist Theothorous Athanasious "Teddy" Ellenis and "Secret Weapon" Tommy Mullaney, who performed the dual role of band's tour manager also.

The present lineup includes frontman John Easdale and several players from Dramarama's previous incarnation, including the lead guitarist Mark Englert and rhythm guitar player Peter Wood, who happens to be the only band member who moved back to New Jersey and still maintains a residence there. Mike Davis is the official bass player for Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford's soloband. He will also be appearing on Halford's upcoming CD, Halford IV. One of the most notable pianist Benmont Tench of Tom Petty's is among those prominent musicians who have joined the band for studio sessions. The other members are guitarist Mick Taylor, late of the Rolling Stones, on Vinyl, a fellow artist Dwight Teilley lent vocals to several songs on hi-fi sci-fi based on which The New York Doll's Sylvain Sylvain also made a vocal appearance.

Chris Cater, the original bass player/ producer and Dramarama cofounder, is currently working as a disco jockey in Los Angeles and is primarily known for hosting America's longest running Beatles show, "Breakfast With the Beatles" in which he plays Beatles records and comments upon the Beatles history for as long as 4 hours every week. The former keyboard player and guitarist Tommy "Secret Weapon" Mullaney appeared on stage with the band for more than few occasions. The most resent one was earlier this year at a New Jersey show. Also the Hi-Fi-Sci-Fi-era drummer Clem Burke made a return to the original band Blondie. The original drummer Jesse Faebman, who is now famously known as Anant Jesse, has returned to his adopted second homeland of India, where he produces and records eastern-influenced music and lives a life immersed in Indian culture.
