In Dora's Pirate Adventure!, you will find the popular character Dora, Boots the Monkey her best buddy, and her other friends. All of them undertakes an exciting trip to the Treasure Island. This will be the first time, that the children will also get to see the cousin of Dora named, Diego who is an expert of nature and science. Since it is an interactive show, the audience get the chance to help Dora and her friends over Music Mountain, through silly Singing Bridge and also help them confront the Pirate Piggies. Throughout the process, the audience will use their map for reading, counting, musical and their skills in Spanish language skills to help Dora reach the treasure successfully and the show comes to a happy end with a "yo-ho-ho!". The format of the show is full of challenges, puzzles and obstacles that both the audience and Dora must solve together so as to step up in the next challenge. Dora can speak fluently, both English and Spanish and this helps her to communicate with her friends to overcome the problems, to reach their desired goals. Dora's Pirate Adventure! Has been directed by Gip Hoppe. Hoppe has first worked with Nickelodeon and Clear Channel on Blue's Clues Live! and Blue's Clues Live! - Blue's Birthday Party, and has also worked in the live production of Dora the Explorer, Search for the City of Lost Toys. He has also written and directed the Broadway play Jackie: An American Life. He is also the founding member and co-artistic director of the Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theatre. The production is designed by David Gallo (Scenic) and Gregg Barnes (Costumes), who were nominated for Tony Award.
