A two part radio documentary on Joan Baez, Kevin Howlett was contributed by Donovan in 1995 for BBC Radio 2.
In 1996 Donovan started working on his new album Sutras Donovan's and with his work success continued for flow for Donavan. His recording of Atlantis went to number 5 in the German charts. It sold about 500,000 copies. The Pied Piper, his new release includes a children's album, by the USA record label Music for Little People. In 2003 Donovan's contributions to song and poetry were recognized by the University of Hertfordshire. At St. Albans Cathedral he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters.

Artist Biography - Donovan Leitch
Donovan Leitch was born on 10th May, 1946, in Maryhill Scotland. Donovan's family lived in the hard, rough and bomb scarred city of Glasgow till he was ten but soon they moved to Hertfordshire in England.
The family's move to Hatfield has highly influenced Donovan perception towards life. He got greatly inspired by the place beauty and through his early songs he has aptly described his love for Hatfield. His music eventually reached a new generation during the sixties and has continued to influence the poetry and lyrics of following decades. His father's love for poetry and literature also has played a vital role in his life and his music.
While in college Donovan discovered a different world like Bohemian ideas, Buddhism, poetry and art. Donovan has been influenced by Martin Carthy, Woody Guthrie, Alex Campbell, jazz and folk songs. His first professional break came when he was introduced to Allan the producer of "Ready Steady Go" by his managers Geoff Stevens. Donavan was signed by Allan Donovan for three continuous shows. He was just eighteen then. Catch the Wind, was Donavan's first single chart that made him number three in the UK singles charts and in the year 1965 the same song won the Ivor Novello award.
His success was followed with other Top Ten hits like Colours and Turquoise.
