One day, the town criers brings in the invitation to attend the Royal Ball, where all the young ladies of the kingdom can get the chance to meet the handsome Prince Charming. Her step-sisters gets excited for the Royal Ball. Cinderella also wants to join and she humbly asks about the ball, but her stepsisters make fun of her. As a result Cinderella feels sad, but her conspiring Stepmother agrees to take her, if she could finish a long list of impossible chores. Cinderella readily agrees to do all this work, as it would mean that she would be able to go to a ball; and here comes the song "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes".

Anastasia and Drizella make things harder for Cinderella, by dumping all their dirty work at her feet, which adds up to the list of chores. Cinderella feels sad, as she knows she couldn't finish the work but her mice friends – including Perla, Jaq, Luke, and Gus – help her to forget these awful tasks, by making her remember about the ball and next comes the song "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes Reprise". The Stepmother and the Stepsisters leave for the ball leaving the heartbroken Cinderella behind.
Just after sometime, a Fairy Godmother magically appears and performs magic and finally Cinderella was able to go to the ball and tells her the spell will last only till midnight. Cinderella was finally able to go to the ball.
On the other hand at the Royal Ball, the Prince is feels bore with the ladies who have come to the Ball. Just then Cinderella enters and this lightens up the Prince. They dance till midnight and when the clock struck twelve, Cinderella leaves the party, hurriedly and leaves her single glass slipper behind. The next day the Prince tells the King that he will only marry that girl whose foot will fit the shoe perfectly. The King orders the Grand Duke to find the girl. After a long and tiring search the Duke was finally able to find the perfect foot that fit the shoe perfectly and that was none other than Cinderella. She is then taken back to the castle to marry the Prince, and the play ends with the song "Cinderella/Dream Finale".
