Destroyer 666 revolved into one of the leaders of the local metal scene with "Unchain the Wolves", which showcased a powerful effort that strengthened their reputation and established their debut and a strong live presence, including a healthy interest from overseas. Soon after, Destroyer 666 moved to Netherlands, a location which provided them with a central location for further European touring.
Another album, Cold Steel... for an Iron Age was further applauded as an fantabulous illustration of inexorable thrash metal. Destroyer 666 returned to Australia, in late 2003, where they undertook a national tour and featured as the main attraction of that year's Metal for the Brain festival. Currently, he band has moved to Europe, with K.K. in The Netherlands and other members scattered throughout the continent. A reissue of their album Cold Steel... for an Iron Age was expected for late 2005, but as of March 2007, has not yet been released. It is expected to feature all new artwork (the artwork for the original release was used by Season of Mist without their consent) and would include bonus songs. The band is also working on a new LP containing all of the songs previously released on 7" vinyl.

Destroyer 666 is one of Australia's prototypal metal band. The band started as a solo excursion Bestial Warlust guitarist , who produced the first album with drum contributions from Criss Volcano of Abominator and Skitz of Damaged. Gradually, the line-up coagulated with the addition of veteran bassist, Phil "Bullet Eater" Gresik, who was in the Melbourne metal scene and, who also played in Mass Confusion, Bestial Warlust, and Hobbs' Angel of Death. There was drummer Ballistic Howitzer from Gospel of the Horns and Shrapnel on second guitar. Deströyer 666 are also known for their influence in music and liking towards wolves, and a invariant use of them in metaphorical lyrics.
