Debbie Reynolds Tickets for Sale

Debbie Reynolds is lovingly remembered as America's sweetheart. She was the typical girl-next-door. She was a singer and Hollywood actress. She is fondly remembered for her exemplary work in Hollywood musicals. She was a part of one of the best musicals of all times, "Singin' in the Rain." Debbie was born in El Paso, Texas. She always nurtured dreams of being a Hollywood actress despite her middle class lineage.

She stepped into Hollywood after she won the Miss Burbank beauty contest in 1948. This got her a contract with Warner Bros. But she needed more artistic freedom and she left Warner and joined MGM. Her performance in the 1950 musical "Two Weeks with Love" got Reynolds a lot of praise and a lot of attention. Reynolds gave another tremendous performance in the 1952 movie Singin' in the Rain, a film that till today remains one of the best Hollywood musicals ever produced. This great period was followed by some less distinguished films. A career defining moment came when she was cast opposite Frank Sinatra in the hit "The Tender Trap." Two years later she was a part of the film "Tammy and the Bachelor," which is a series of popular teen films.

The year 1959 was a difficult time for Reynolds. Her marriage to Eddie Fisher broke down when he left her for Elizabeth Taylor. She was showered with public sympathy , interestingly this only added to her existing popularity. It was even rumored that by the early '60s she was charging millions for her movies. She earned an Academy Award nomination for her performance in the 1964 movie "The Unsinkable Molly Brown." But by this time, her stardom had started to fade and she was looking at an end to her career. She retired from acting and movie-making and instead concentrated on being a business woman and appearing on Broadway. In the 1980s, Reynolds opened her own hotel and casino in Las Vegas and began performing at her casino's nightclub.

She made a comeback to Hollywood in 1996, she was cast in the title role of the acclaimed comedy "Mother." Her performance was praised by critics and some even went to the extent of saying that it was the best performance of her career. Come and watch this legend of cinema in a live performance.
