Recently the eagerly awaited 33rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards show was held. The awards were beautifully presented on April 28, during a widely watched live telecast on ABC Television. Traditionally the award ceremony is held New York; this ceremony however took place in Hollywood for the very first time in its illustrious 33 years at the famous Kodak Theatre. The remarkable Tom Bergeron of the Dancing with the Stars fame along with the charismatic Kelly Monaco wonderfully hosted the three-hour gala.
The event saw CBS at the forefront, winning as many as 15 Daytime Emmy awards.
The list of multiple award winners was topped by Sesame Street which won as many as eight Emmys and after it was the Ellen DeGeneres Show which eventually took home six. The winners in the prestigious creative arts categories had been announced earlier during simultaneous and widely attended galas in the city of Los Angeles and New York.
