Davy Jones
Davy Jones is a hugely popular actor and singer who have been enthralling audiences for decades. This British-born man is best known as a member of famous rock group The Monkees.  As a distinguished part of the Oliver! Cast, Jones managed to appear on the renowned Ed Sullivan Show on the very same night that the legendary Beatles made their famous American TV debut on the show. From the year 1965 to the year 1970, Jones was a prominent member of The Monkees, a hugely successful pop-rock group which was formed expressly for the purpose of a TV show with the same name. He used to sing lead vocals on many of the trademark songs of the group. Some of the famous numbers include the likes of "I Wanna Be Free" and the delightful "Daydream Believer". After the popular show went off the air and the remarkable group disbanded, he went on performing solo, later joining hands with fellow-Monkee Micky Dolenz along with songwriters Tommy Boyce and the skilled Bobby Hart. In recent years, Jones has regularly performed with number of his former band-mates in many reunion tours and has successfully appeared in several reputed productions of Oliver! He has even continued to brilliantly race horses with a high degree of success in his native country England. Such a multifaceted individual is a rarity in the music industry. He however prefers to reside in Snyder County, which is situated Pennsylvania, United States.
