Davis Gaines has an illustrious career in theatre. He was remarkably chosen by the legendary Hal Prince and Lloyd Webber and was made to play the highly difficult leading role in the much awaited world premiere of the show "Whistle down the Wind" held in Washington, D.C. His other notable Broadway and prominent national tour credits include the likes of "Raoul" in The Phantom of the Opera the famous role of Cornelius Hackl played brilliantly by him in "Hello, Dolly!" along with Carol Channing. He has also performed Camelot with the skilled Richard Burton Gaines' notable Off-Broadway appearances include the likes off the famous Maury Yeston and Larry Gelbart classy musical titled "One Two Three Four Five" along with "Stephen Sondheim's Assassins". Besides these he has also contribute in "She Loves Me" and also in the Forbidden Broadway. He incidentally made his first New York City Opera debut by appearing in The New Moon. He then appeared in New York in some wonderful concert versions including the likes of Sitting Pretty, Pippin and the famous Encores production titled The Boys from Syracuse. He even managed to appear in the popular play Damn Yankees as Joe Hardy which was directed by the skilled George Abbott.

David Gaines also has a credible body of film work. They include a prominent featured role in Warlock: The Armageddon.
