Darius Rucker Tickets for Sale
Darius Rucker tickets have been available for rock concerts and R&B concerts, and now they are available for a burgeoning country career. The eclectic musician has been afforded the rare opportunity to cross over into genres easily, whether he is the front man for Hootie and the Blowfish or singing in a Burger King commercial.
Rucker was born on May 13, 1966 and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. His music career began in college during his freshman year when Mark Bryan heard him singing in the shower. By 1986, Rucker, Bryan, Jim Sonefeld, and Dean Felber were performing original material as the group Hootie and the Blowfish. Millions purchased concert tickets and the group's albums over the years. The result was five studio albums, including their debut album, Cracked Rear View (1994) that went platinum 16 times.
Each successive album failed to bring as much attention and success. Rucker began to experiment within different musical genres. In 2001, Darius recorded his own R&B album, The Return of Mongo Slade, but found its release delayed by Atlantic Records. A year later the album was released under a different label, Hidden Beach Recordings, under a new name, Back to Then. Though the album did not sell particularly well and did not sellout venues with Darius Rucker tickets for R&B shows, it did allow the singer to feel free to continue his musical journey.
An odd commercial for Burger King aired in 2005. It featured Rucker as a singing cowboy. His song, "Big Rock Candy Mountain," turned out to be just the beginning. He released his debut country album, Learn to Live, in 2008 to strong reviews and a very healthy response from fans. Darius Rucker became the first African American since Charley Pride in 1983 to have a number one country hit. The song, "Don't Think I Don't About It," was followed by another number one hit, "It Won't Be like This for Long." Now, Darius Rucker tickets are again a hot item, this time with a little more twang.
Though he still performs with Hootie and the Blowfish for annual charity concerts, his primary concern is that burgeoning country career. That country career has been on the rise since he signed with Capitol Records Nashville. The label has helped him craft new songs with tried and true country music producer Frank Rogers. Darius Rucker been so successful at creating a new musical persona that he sold concert tickets for a debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
Darius Rucker seems determined to add country sensation to his list of accomplishments as he continues to explore the boundless world of music in his post Hootie days. With this gold-certified country album (Learn to Live) under his belt there is no telling what he will do next. Perhaps next he will try to conquer opera.
