In 2006 many veteran players were found on the roster of Dallas Desperados, who performed quite satisfactorily and even took Desperados in one game of ArenaBowl XX. Jermaine Jones, Devin Wyman and Duke Pettijohn have been highly ranked in the defense list of the league. Pettijohn won an All Arena honors after being selected All- Ironman in 2005. He is considered to be one of the most gifted FB/LB of the Arena Football League. He finished with a record of 40 tackles and two touchdowns on offense. For 84 yards he had 37 carries and three sacks on defense.
Jermaine Jones has a record of 991/2 tackles in a single season for Dallas Desperados and eight interception.

The Desperados have also given an extension of one year to the kicker Carlos Martinez. In 2006 he ranked third with 141 points among the kickers. He successfully converted 8 out of 14 field attempts making him league's most potent offense. Martinez won the kicking part of the ArenaBattle Skills Challenge in the ArenaBowl XX held in Las Vegas. In his overall career he has success rate of 43.6 percent for converting 24 out of 55 field goal attempts.
Despite not having any major wins Dallas Desperados were still impressive in the season. Will McClay the head coach, lineman Colston Weatherington and Shy Anderson the chief operating officer took three out of six individual awards of the Arena Football League.
Desperados have decided that the next six months they will search for fresh talents and renegotiate with their own free agents. Last year's talented and new players helped Desperados to improve their record. They signed Dialleo Burks, wide receiver/linebacker to fill the empty place of Bobby Sippio while signing Dolezel as a quarterback .
With Weatherington possessing the skills of All-Arena pass rush coupled with the leadership qualities of Wyman the defense of Desperados was able to contain the opposition to the league's best 44.4 points per game. Dolezel on the offense held a record of 105 touchdown passes for the league. They formed the fourth team for guiding the AFL in scoring defense and scoring offense. The head coach McClay said "We really think we know what it takes to put it together. We've shown improvement every year and we hope to do so next year, too."
With little more hard work and progress Dallas Desperados can become a tough and competent team and also compete in Las Vegas for the ArenaBowl Championship. Avail tickets for their matches at low price from us.
