Signed to Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, an entertainment company with a long history of working with American Idol contestants, and Jive Records, Crystal Bowersox went work on a debut album after the American Idol tour. Her first single, "Up to the Mountain" was released both to terrestrial radio stations and through iTunes. The song reached number 57 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart. Her album, Farmer's Daughter hit the shelves on December 14, 2010. So far it has peaked at number 28 on Billboard 200 and number two on the U.S. Rock charts. Though a tour has yet to be announced, her major media appearance on Ellen on December 16, 2010 and strong debut album sales seem to indicate she will at least embark on a tour as a supporting act.
