Cry Baby
The prolific quartet band features talented music artists from Atlanta. The band gets life from Guitarist C.J. Bargamian, Drummer Mark Carbone and Bassist Daniel Winn. Vocalist Kelly Sirmans' majestic vocal quality takes the soundtrack of the band to a whole new level. Interestingly, Cry Baby is comprised of veterans of bands as diverse as Myssouri, Lithonia Power Train, the Positrons, Local Color Movement, and Purplexia. During the beginning of 2001, Cry Baby entered the musical scene from nowhere. The four members of this band have been friends for over a decade and have performed together in different bands before. The friendship and chemistry helped a lot to make such an impact in such a short time.
It simply took no time for the band to mark on the Atlanta music scene and rule the hearts of many music lovers. With their high profile music and many self-released EPs, the band entered the limelight on local radio and in local venues. Typically, the band begins each song with a laid-back, jazzy vibe, weaving intricate and luxurious tapestries with a dramatic climax. The band members take care of the fact that their creative music gives enough breathing room for each instrument to shine. The first, the self-titled EP was released in 2001, with five beautiful tracks that were staples of the band's early sets. Their second EP "Kaleidoscopic Dreams" features jazzy drums and wonderful shimmering guitar tunes with the fine blending of knockout and powerful vocals of Kelly Sirmans, which can be referred to as rich, versatile, sultry, spooky and soulful. She has an intensity and passion that makes her stand apart from the crowd.
In 2001, Cry Baby came up with three self-released EPs. Their fourth EP titled "No Means Yes" was released on Two Sheds in February 2002. Their popular works include, "Kaleidoscopic Dreams", "Blue-Eyed Boy", "All My Love", "So I Do" and "Leave Me". This indie-rock band from Atlanta had recorded albums for Two Sheds Records from 2000-2003. But at the end of 2002, the members decided to disband. But still the band members perform together at times.
Indie rock music will definitely reach new heights when there will be talented bands like Cry Baby on the scene. They will always be known from their lovely tracks like "Blue-Eyed Boy", "All My Love" and "Another Feeling".
