 The Las Vegas Bowl is an NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A post-season college football bowl game that has been played annually at 40,000-seat Sam Boyd Stadium on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 1992.
Date & Time: Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 6:45 p.m. (PST)
Location: Sam Boyd Stadium will serve as the venue for the Las Vegas Bowl.
Attendance: The Las Vegas Bowl attracted a crowd of 18,031. Paid attendance for the game was 25,437.
Participants: The Las Vegas Bowl will feature the second selection from the Mountain West Conference (MWC) against the fifth selection from the Pac-10 Conference.
Television: The Las Vegas Bowl will be televised on ESPN.
Radio: The Las Vegas Bowl can be heard throughout the country and overseas on the Sports USA Radio Network. Larry Kahn will be play-by-play announcer with Charles Arbuckle on color. Troy West will handle the sideline duties.
Las Vegas Bowl Affiliations: The Las Vegas Bowl announced in September 2003 that it has extended its contract with the Pac-10 Conference for an additional two years through the 2005 season. The bowl has an agreement with the MWC through the 2004 season.
Bowl Events: Participants in the Las Vegas Bowl will be treated to a Welcome Reception at the ESPNZone; a Media Conference and Luncheon at the Las Vegas Convention Center; a Team Charity Visit to Sunrise Hospital; the Outback Buffet Bowl and traditional Pep Rally at the spectacular Fremont Street Experience; and the Tailgate Extravaganza at Sam Boyd Stadium.
