Background - Uc Riverside Highlanders
The frontcourt is outstanding led by 6'-8', 255-pound senior Vili Morton (12 ppg, 6.3 rpg), a powerful inside player. However, a big loss was the departure of 6'-7' junior F Nate Carter (15 ppg, 6.8 rpg, .51 FG%), who transferred to Oklahoma. The duo led the Highlanders in scoring and rebounding, so 6'-11' senior Klaus Schille must step up or provide depth off the bench for the frontcourt.

 The backcourt loses 6'-3' Ted Bell (6 ppg) and point guard Kevin Butler. 6'-3' senior Rickey Porter will get more time and some kids will have to step up. 6'-6' senior Matt Benson and 6'-1' PG Brett Ost came over as JC transfers last season and will be given more minutes. This team was 8-5 over the total last year averaging 69 ppg.
The Highlanders added freshmen 6-0 point guard Justin Argenal, G Larry Cunningham, 6-7 forward Daniel Fleming, and 6-9 junior college transfer post David Misko. The Highlanders have the frontcourt and team leadership to be better. They need to solidify the backcourt and learn to win on the road.
