 Collins (15.5 ppg. 4.9 rpg) is one of the best players in the Atlantic 10. His 6-6 height allows him to back in and score in the lane, but he needs to improve his three-point aim (.290 3-PT in 2003-04). He'll be joined on the perimeter by 6-5 sophomore Dustin Salisbery (7.0 ppg), who has talent but was inconsistent as a freshman, and 6-5 true freshman Mark Tyndale. Keith Butler (4.7 ppg) and Antywane Robinson (4.7 ppg) have been major disappointments and must step up for Chaney.
Important newcomers are 6-5 freshman Mark Tyndale and 6-11 sophomore Wayne Marshall, both former Philadelphia Public League stars. Tyndale is expected to be a perimeter scorer right away. Temple has talent this year, but must get its big people involved in the offense, shoot better from long range and defend the three-pointer much better.
