Robinson came into his own last season, leading the Rams in scoring (15.1), assists (118) and steals (50) Three freshmen and one JC transfer -- will be given an opportunity to earn some playing time right away for Jim Baron's squad.
On the perimeter, 6-5 freshman Jon Lucky (a top-150 national recruit), 6-2 frosh Parfait Bitee (the nephew of former URI star Lazare Adingono) and 6-6 JC player Alex Davis will be asked to help ease the losses of Hellenga and Woodward. Dawan Robinson is a gem, but he needs help. If he gets it and the power players can play solid inside defense, rebound and score the occasional basket, then another NIT berth is possible.
