Most important for the Sooners may be the big men and they have one gotten of the best in this class with Tiny Gallon. The 6-8, 300 pound Gallon should effectively clog up the lane and be able to use his size to get some easy points. Gallon is also a good passer and surprisingly light on his feet for a man of his size, but he still may need to slim down a bit before he can be fully effective in the Big 12. Andrew Fitzgerald and Kyle Hardrick are also very talented centers and both will also fight for a starting job. The star newcomer on the perimeter is point guard Tommy Mason-Griffin, who, like shooting guard Steven Pledger, will have some time to work on his game before being asked to carry much of the load, but should get some important minutes as a freshman. Warren is a superstar and the OU backcourt seems to be in good shape, especially if Mason-Griffin lives up to the hype and can eventually start next to Warren. However, it is the new players in the frontcourt that will make the difference for this team. The Griffins left some big shoes to fill and it will be up to Gallon, Fitzgerald, and Hardrick, meet the challenge this year in Norman. Warren alone may possess enough talent to take this team back to the NCAA Tournament, but if everything comes together as planned look for OU to make a run for both the Big 12 and National Championships. The time is now, so get your tickets and come support the Oklahoma Sooners at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
