In all likelihood, as talented as he is, Sidney will step right into the starting lineup but probably play for only one season before jumping to the NBA. The 6-10, 260 pound power forward is an excellent athlete who can turn the Bulldogs into a legitimate threat to knock Kentucky and Tennessee from the top of the Southeastern Conference mountain. Stansbury will also be looking to Wendell Lewis and John Riek to provide more depth up front. Riek is the preferred choice if he can remain healthy; the 7-1 center may be a bit of a project, but could end up being really dominant by the end of the season. As a freshman last year, Dee Bost put Mississippi State's point guard concerns to rest almost immediately – averaging 11 points and 4 assists, while started every single game for the Bulldogs. While his numbers were very impressive, it was his overall consistency which really made an impression. Unlike many freshman point guards, Bost remained steady and very rarely had a bad day – something that may even get better with one season under his belt. There does not seem to be any holes on this MSU squad – they have a proven point guard, one of the best shot blockers in the country, and enough threats on the wing to score tons of points very quickly. Either way, count on this team to make a run for top honors in the SEC and run deeper into the NCAA Tournament as well. There is only one way to be a part of this coming season, and that is to get some Mississippi State tickets now, and rush on over to the Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville to cheer on the 2009-2010 Bulldogs.
