The Michigan recruiting class does showcase a couple quality guards – point guard Darius Morris has the size and skills to play off the ball, and shooting guard Matt Vogrich, considered by many to be the best of the class, should finally give the team a consistent outside shooter. Walk-on Josh Bartelstein is a good shooter as well, while Eso Akunne will provide even more depth on the wings. The frontcourt will get a couple new players who are not too bad either – Blake McLimans, a 6-10 forward who can spread the defense with his shooting ability, and Jordan Morgan who could be a banger in the paint as long as he can endure the season. With Sims hanging out on the perimeter, Manny Harris will back down the smaller defenders, which how he has become the Wolverines' top scorer. Harris can do it all, averaging 17 points, 7 rebounds, and over 4 assists and 1 steal per game last season. Although his outside shooting numbers were below standard, as was the rest of the squad, he does so many other things for this team that it can be overlooked. This is a team with great potential, and the ability to battle their instate rival MSU Spartans for the Big 10 title before undoubtedly making their way to a second consecutive Tournament appearance. Tickets for the Michigan Wolverines are available, so get yours now and join the crowd at the Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, as this team shows that last season was no fluke.
