Background - Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have a terrific talent in 6'-8' sophomore forward Paul Millsap (15.6 ppg, 12.5 rpg). Millsap, Louisiana's Mr. Basketball two years ago, was recruited by Arizona and Georgia, but decided to stay in-state. Big things were expected of him, and Millsap delivered in his freshman year.

 Millsap is helped up front by 6'-9', 255-lb senior Wayne Powell (9 ppg, 5.5 rpg). The backcourt returns 6'-3' senior Donnell Allick (11 ppg, 37% FGs) and 6'-3' senior Corey Dean (12.7 ppg), so their key players return. 6'-5' senior JueMichael Young provides depth off the bench along with 6'-2' freshman shooter Clarke Hale.
Some highlights from last season: La Tech lost 69-63 at Alabama as Allick had 19 points and Dean chipped in 17 on just 9 shots (6-9, 3-3 from the line)! Millsap had 10 points, 9 rebounds and they held 'Bama to 33% shooting! La Tech plays tough defense and was 10-4 under the total. This appears to be a program on the rise and they should creep over the .500 mark - if they can steal a few more road wins.
