Kentucky Tickets Since first year coach John Calipari took over the Kentucky Wildcats, a previously great recruiting class was transformed into the best in the nation. Calipari has not only greatly increased the level of talent on this team, but he has also brought with him the confidence to lead Kentucky back to where they belong – amongst college basketball's elite teams. With all of the incoming talent, role-players, and even the prior starters, will all be fighting for time on the floor. While Ramon Harris started 28 games for Kentucky last year, he was pretty much there for his defense and rebounding capabilities, while it is seemingly Darius Miller with the potential of blossoming into a prolific scorer. After spending his summer at the Under 19 World Championships, the 6-7 wing should be ready to average more than just over 5 points and 3 rebounds a game for the Wildcats, especially in Calipari's system. DeAndre Liggins had a fairly successful freshman season, averaging around 4 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds per game – his ability to do a little bit of everything makes him a very dangerous option. Second only to the now departed Jodie Meeks, at 18 points a game Patrick Patterson is the star of the Kentucky frontcourt. Patterson is also an excellent rebounder and shot blocker, who will only be made more dangerous with all of the new talent surrounding him. Perry Stevenson started beside Patterson last year, and although he is not quite the scorer, he is a solid rebounder and a very good defender who averages nearly 8 points a game. Rounding out the veteran Wildcat trio is Josh Harrellson, who at 265 pounds not only has the ability to take up space in the paint, but can also step outside and hit mid-range jumpers.

 According to most, Kentucky now has the best freshman in the nation, with 6-4 guard John Wall taking over in the backcourt which was relatively ineffective last year. Along with Wall, point guard Eric Bledsoe will likely work his way into the starting lineup as well, but that is not all the Wildcats have coming into Lexington this season – Jon Hood, Kentucky's Mr. Basketball last year, will also be looking for minutes along with Darnell Dodson, one of the best junior college transfers out there, at the wing. The frontcourt is also getting two of the best big men possible in DeMarcus Cousins and Daniel Orton, with Cousins being a very solid and agile player for a 6-11, 260 pound freshman forward. If there is anything lacking on the Wildcats it may be a pure shooter, with the best option on the team probably being Dodson, who may not make the starting lineup, but will be used as a spark off the bench, leaving Bledsoe and Wall to shoot the long balls. Bledsoe is more of a true point guard than Wall, while Wall's best attributes are his speed and ability to drive to the basket. Seemingly the only problem that coach Calipari will have is finding enough minutes for all of his talented young players.
