Kansas Tickets The Kansas Jayhawks are the preseason favorite this year. Given that all five starters and key reserves are returning from last season's Sweet Sixteen squad, this ranking is by no means a stretch of anyone's imagination, and this young group is growing up and ready to take things to the next level. Add an amazing recruiting class to this foundation and what you end up with is a Kansas team favored to take home the NCAA Championship Trophy. With no key roster losses from last year, it was on the wings where the Kansas Jayhawks occasionally experienced some difficulty last season. While Tyshawn Taylor solidified a starting spot with a great freshman year, averaging almost 10 points and 3.0 assists per game, Brady Morningstar averaged over 30 minutes per game but only put up 6.5 points per game. With the addition of shooting guard Xavier Henry, Morningstar could be relegated to the role of a shooter that comes off the bench. Tyrell Reed is not quite the shooter that Morningstar is, but has better success getting to the basket. Also look for Mario Little, who was hindered by injuries last year, to provide more size and production for Kansas at the small forward position. Averaging 15 points, 11 rebounds, and almost 3 blocks per game, for the Jayhawks last season, 6-11 center Cole Aldrich definitely put to rest any questions about his game during his sophomore year. Now that he is an upperclassman, Kansas faithful can expect even bigger things from Aldrich in 2009-2010. Cole's presence under the basket will also open up space for the Morris brothers, Marcus and Markief. Marcus averaged over 7 points a game and was second on the Jayhawks in rebounding last year, while his ability to stretch out the defense with his mid-range jumper also helps provide Aldrich with more opportunities in the paint. Although Markieff may not be the shooter that his brother is, he is a very tough player who will hit the boards hard.

Kansas Basketball

 Kansas may not need to rely on much production from their newcomers, but they should get plenty anyway. Transfers C.J. Henry from Memphis, and Jeff Withey, who will be eligible after the first semester, provide a pair of promising options, while Henry and Elijah Johnson will undoubtedly pressure the returning Jayhawk backcourt players for minutes. With Henry as the most polished of the incoming class and expected to play a big role, Thomas Robinson will give the frontcourt yet another weapon, but will have to battle hard to see minutes in his freshman campaign. Kansas is full of scorers, but it is the guy who feeds them the ball who is also their top scorer; Sherron Collins is one of the best point guards in the all of college basketball, coming off a spectacular season in which he scored 19 points and dished out 5 assists per game. Collins is not only a productive outside shooter, but has more than enough strength to aggressively attack the basket, either finishing himself or finding one of his teammates. This is no doubt Collins' team and he is one of two seniors who will play a significant role on this year's Jayhawks. With Collins leading the way, the Jayhawks have an intelligent leader who can either take over a game or pass the ball off to Aldrich and let him dominate. Either way, Kansas should be a dominant team, and as the early favorites to win it all, tickets for the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas are a necessity in order to cheer the Jayhawks on to victory with Kansas tickets.
