Late 1990s saw Clutch forming an independent record label, River Road Records, to release their own music. River Road signed no other artist from outside. Only its progenitors were to adorn it. They include Neil Fallon (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Tim Sult (guitar), Dan Maines (bass guitar) and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums). Mick Schauer organ joined the band later in 2004. Their other glorious hits have been Impetus, The Elephant Riders, Pitchfork and Jam Room.
By the start of the 21st century Clutch had become a household name in the entire US. Later on in 2003, 'Impetus,' their glorious record found its way onto the soundtrack for Tony Hawk's Underground. The band has also made a guest appearance on Viva La Bam. They have enjoyed remarkable success with each of their releases in the 21st century including 'Pure Rock Fury,' 'Live at the Googolplex,' 'Slow Hole to China' and 'Blast Tyrant.' In 2004, they came out with another hit 'Live in Flint.' The album was among the top hits of the year. 2005 saw them releasing 'Robot Hive Exodus.' Their latest release has been 'Pitchfork & Lost Needles' which found favors with an innumerable number of their fans.
