Clay Aiken Tickets for Sale

Clay Aiken was born on November 30, 1978 in Raleigh, North Carolina. From an early age, Aiken's family had a strong feeling about his singing ability. When he was just a mere 5 years old, Clay sang the Dolly Parton/ Kenny Rogers hit, 'Islands In the Stream,' at a local high school dance. When he was seven years old, he was already buying his own albums through a mail-order catalog.
During his teenage rebellious years, Clay was part of the Raleigh Boys Choir. Aiken also was a part of various musicals. During his college years, his music career was put on the shelf. Clay majored in Special Education at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. His goal was to attend William & Mary College in Virginia to get a Master's degree.

His whole life changed dramatically when he tried out for the 2003 season of Fox's American Idol. No one could believe the voice that came out of such a young man's skinny body. He impressed the judges and fans around the country. He was never picked by the audience as one of the bottom three during the entire show. In May of that year he got second place behind the winner Ruben Studdard. Second place proved to be just as good as first because Clay was given a record deal by RCA.
