Childsplay
Over the years, Childsplay has produced a number of plays, such as The Highest Heaven by Jose Cruz Gonzlez, The Yellow Boat by David Saar, Even Steven Goes to War, Hush: An Interview With America and many more. In 2000 a decision was made by the company to create a more formal program for aiding the growth of new plays. This led to the creation of Whiteman New Plays Program. The program gets grants from Whiteman Foundation and The Flinn Foundation. In first three years Whiteman New Plays Program helped in the development of nine new plays, including The Imaginators by Dwayne Hartford, Cyrano by Barry Kornhauser, Salt and Pepper and Two Donuts by Jose Cruz Gonzalez, Elliot and Eric. The mission of Childsplay has been stated on their official website which reads 'to create theatre so strikingly original in form, content or both, that it instills in young people an enduring awe, love and respect for the medium, thus preserving imagination and wonder, those hallmarks of childhood which are the keys to the future.'

When it became suspenseful, they chewed on their fists, pulled their knees to their chests, and held their breath. They had completely crawled inside Danny's world! Childsplay never fails to impress us with the scripts, talented actors, and production values - all of which are of the highest quality. Childsplay is truly a gift to our students and well worth the cost.' A teacher of Manuel Pena Elementary school said 'Childsplay is our first choice because of several reasons; namely, the professionalism of the actors, the costumes are wonderfully elaborate, the actors portray their characters excellently, the performances start on time, and the actors really seem to be enjoying what they're doing.' 'I am a big fan of Childsplay. I saw my first performance 24 years ago when I was a student teacher. Both of my sons have attended Childsplay performances with me, as well as my students. Keep up the great work!' was said by sixth grade teacher of Burk Elementary.
A second grade teacher, Scottsdale Christian Academy 'This was, without a doubt, the best children's theater production I have ever attended. My students and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have recommended it to many friends and family members.'
