Chick Corea
Chick Corea, the Grammy Award winning jazz pianist and keyboardist, has been at the forefront of jazz and jazz fusion since he began performing professionally at the age of 25 in 1966. Tickets to any concert with Corea (whose true name is Armando Anthony Corea) promise a virtuoso on the piano and the keyboard.
He was raised in a musical household in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Chick Corea's father was a jazz trumpet player, so his younger days were filled with jazz influences. Bebop, in particular, had a profound impact on him. This love of jazz, a latin influence and bebop, combined with an innate musical ability, meant that Chick Corea tickets were sure to be something special.
Before he moved to jazz fusion, Chick Corea first played in Miles Davis's orchestra and allowed the group to move further from classic jazz to an avant-garde musical experience. Then in the early 1970s after selling tickets under the umbrella of one of the most acclaimed jazz musicians ever, he made the switch to jazz fusion, mixing the burgeoning rock sound with the flow of jazz.
