Charlotte Church was born at Llandaff, Cardiff, South Glamorgan, Wales as Charlotte Maria Reed on February 21, 1986. She is a pop singer who rose to international fame in childhood as a popular classical singer. She tasted stardom at the age of 3, when she first performed "Ghostbusters" at a holiday camp in Caernarforn. She got a big break as an 11 year old, when she sang "Pie Jesu" on a television show Talking Telephone Numbers in 1997. This was followed by her smashing performance on ITV's Big, Big Talent Show in 1998.
Voice of an Angel, her breakthrough album, portrayed her exceptional and inimitable voice in a collection of sacred songs and classical singles selling millions of copies worldwide. This made her the youngest artist with a No. 1 selling album up to now.

Church has also appeared on several PBS specials and television commercials. The song appeared on her second album, which included a blend of operatic, sacred, and conventional and traditional tracks. In 2000, she released Dream a Dream, an album of Christmas carols that became very popular among masses. In 2001, she recorded "Just Wave Hello". Later on her album Enchantment came with some innovations adding some pop, swing, and Broadway to her classical stock her stint with Hollywood came in the same year, in the movie A Beautiful Mind and she even sang the film's end title song, "All Love Can Be". At the age of 16, Church released Prelude, to mark her exit from classical music in 2002. She was awarded the Rear of the Year title the same year at such a young age of 16.
Her first venture out of classical music came with Jurgen Vries' single "The Opera Song" in February 2003. She was accredited on the cover as CMC. The track further pushing her up in U.K. charts. In 2005, she released her first pop album Tissues and Issues. All the first four singles viz, "Crazy Chick", "Call My Name", "Even God" and "Moodswings" have been successful in the UK and also released in Australia.
In April 2006 she performed three concerts in Glasgow, London, and Cardiff which was a mix of tracks from her debut pop album including Prince's "Kiss" and Gloria Estefan's "The Rhythm is Gonna Get You."
