A couple of months ago the biggest Celine Dion news was her return to Las Vegas. In fact it was her return to Caesars Palace, taking the stage at the Colosseum that had her fans searching for cheap Celine tickets for her concert and plane tickets to Vegas. Everyone is happy, Vegas gets to boost its tourism, her fans get to see her perform for the first time since her Taking Chances Tour, and Celine Dion gets to celebrate being a mother.

That's right, Celine Dion has a pair of twins to take care of as of October 23, 2011. She is still bound to her contract, but I do not think she will mind. Her residency will last for three years with 70 concerts a year. Celine Dion plans to use this time to do more than simply sell Celine Dion tickets for another Vegas showcase. She also has announced plans to record several new albums, both in French and English.

Celine Dion: Las Vegas 2013-2013

The new show will be Celine Dion's first foray into show business since her world tour ended in 2009. Initially she planned to take time off to give birth to and raise her second child, but after a failed attempt to become pregnant again she took time off to recuperate emotionally. Still, she went forth with plans to release a tour documentary in February 2010 and she made an appearance at the 52nd Grammy Awards singing alongside legendary Mo Town singer Smokey Robinson, R&B stars Usher and Jennifer Hudson, and country sensation Carrie Underwood in a tribute to Michael Jackson.

The decision to bring back Celine Dion is hardly a let down for Caesars Palace. The singer is a huge draw world wide and ranked first among top earners in the first decade of the 21st century. Most of that income came from the first residency in Las Vegas, which lasted five years (2003-2007). This is a good sign for the hotel/casino (who estimate their profit to be upwards of $400 million), as it proves that her audience is willing to travel to see her rather than relying on her to come to a venue near them.
