Most popular for the single "Blue Eyes", that appeared on the soundtrack in the movie Garden State, in the year 2004., Cary Brothers is an indie rock singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. His childhood idol is a native of Tennessee, Elvis Presley. He continued playing piano till he was thirteen years old and later he switched to guitar.
His independent releases were All the Rage and Waiting for Your Letter, which were influenced by British New Wave of the 80s and Folk of the 70's. The album was both commercially successful and was even critically acclaimed. The albums even reached the top of the iTunes Folk charts. The single Blue Eyes even broke the Top Fifty on the iTunes singles chart. He is even successful on the web on MySpace, where he has almost 3,000,000 plays on his music page. His songs have even appeared on the NBC sitcom Scrubs, the FOX mystery Bones, the WB's Smallville, and also popular medical dramas such as Grey's Anatomy and ER. The song "Ride" also appeared on the soundtrack in the feature film "The Last Kiss", and has even performed on The Late Late Show and Scrubs. The lyrical ballad "Blue Eyes" was featured on the Platinum selling, soundtrack to the hit indie film "Garden State", which even won Grammy Awards.
His hit numbers are regularly played at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and has even toured throughout Canada and America and has performed acts such as Liz Phair, KT Tunstall, Aqualung, Imogen Heap, and The Fray. He has appeared as a guest with London musician Aqualung on The Late Show with David Letterman. But Cary Brothers is best known for his beautiful ballad, "Blue Eyes," released in the year 2005, which became a huge success.

Cary Brothers was born in the year 1974, he grew up listening to Brit-pop sensations such as the Cure and the Smiths. After he finished his graduation from Northwestern University in the year 1990, Brothers met Zach Braff, who was a writer, director, and star of the band Garden State. Both of them decided to move to L.A. After reaching there Brothers opened a small production company with another friend. The company was instrumental in producing the Freddie Prinze, Jr. movie Sparkler and Dill Scallion, a country music spoof.
In the year 2002, his instinct to make music became so strong that he stopped being an Hollywood insiders. By then, Brothers, had developed already developed a fascination for the country-folk and so he, started playing in and around the venues of L.A. and performing specially at the Hotel Cafe, which was the favorite haunt for upcoming singer/songwriters. It was at Hotel Cafe, that he composed some of the early material. Later it went on to win over more than 10,000 buyers when he released it in the year 2005 as an EP, "All the Rage".
