Carrie Underwood is back with her first album in three years and her first international tour in two. The album, Blown Away, has been adopted as the name for the tour. Since the album's release, the single "Good Girl" has gone gold and the album itself has topped the Billboard 200. The critics even agree that she has created an album both skillfully and with a certain savvy degree. Her lyrics have reached a new level of maturity, making sure each song both bleeds into the tapestry of the album while conversely providing enough individual effort to stand out on its own. Carrie Underwood is most definitely taking the most chances with this recording, seeking to reach an audience who interpret her American Idol win as a reason to avoid giving her singles a chance.
