Artist Biography - Carnival Of Chaos

 The band released it in 1997. Critics referred the album as the GWAR's bid for musical expansion. In this album, the band tested a number of new styles as compared with other albums. It is even regarded as the longest album of this band as its playing time exceeds more than 74 minutes. It is important to note that 'Carnival of Chaos' contains Stampe's solo song, 'Don't Need a Man'. This album turned out as a super hit and its copies sold millions.
The 'Carnival of Chaos' is the last album of 'GWAR', where Peter Lee featured as Flattus Maximus due to Maximus's increasing stomach ache and at last he left the band after its '1997 Halloween Tour'.
The 'Don't Need A Man' was not a song actually from 'GWAR' band. It was Danielle Stampe alias Slymenstra Hymen, who sang the song and Michael Derks alias 'Balsac-the Jaws of Death', who accompanied Hymen as a pianist. It was ended with Brad Roberts alias Jizmak Da Gusha, and Derks as the bassist, pianist and as the guitarist. Though Derks composed the track, but at the end, he received no credit for his best efforts. Moreover, Derks composed 'Hate Love Songs' and performed as a lead singer at the very beginning of this song, but later stopped performing as the main singer. Instead, he is heard only in the background. 'Don't Need A Man' has a track length of 12 minutes 40 seconds. But, most of it is filled with silence; the real song is little less than 4 minutes 30 seconds. Another song of this album is 'Sammy', which lasts for 6 minutes 57 seconds.
