The Burnin Smyrnans launched their music careers in 2002. The band consists of Jason Wigley and Jeff White. Both musicians played acoustic guitars earlier, they came together and played some music and found that they had great chemistry. Both that their individual plans are regard to their careers but they decided to meet, Jeff had written a bunch of tunes and soon Jason spiced them up with his soothing melodies
Both then went on to write new material and played with numerous rhythm sections for about a year. Jeff then switched to Bass and went on several mini tours from Carolinas to Florida. The band then hired the services of Geoff Weeks, a classically trained pianist of the hugely popular band S.E.A.D.

At the dawn of 2005, drummer Chris Reeves returned to college. But they continued to plat and complete their line up by recruiting Anthony Diaz, a former drummer of "Octopus Friendly," which was a famous local jam band. The band looked like they were all set and ready, complete in every department. But it was not to be, the spring of 2005 saw the entry of percussionist Gale Pellerin. After releasing their latest album, "Highly Recommended" the band has been touring extensively to promote their album and also build a committed fan base.
The band has added more members recently. It now contains seven members that include Eric Christian and Jason Rogers. The current line up features: Jeff White, Jason Wigley , Anthony Diaz, Gale Pellerin, Jason Rogers, Eric Christian, and Geoff Weeks.
