Artist Biography - B- Side Players
Karlos Paez was the son of a musician and spent most of his initial years on the streetside. In the year 1991, he formed his own band in San Diego. Over the years the band had a huge following and had a number of hits to their credit. They won several awards for their music in San Diego. Their music had influences of Latin, Funk, Rock and Reggae. Apart from that their music was inspired from social movements, political revolution like the Zapatista guerilla wars from the jungles of Lacandon of Chiapas.
The group has toured all over along with artists like Harpet to Papa Roach. In the year 2001, they released two albums titled,"Renacimeinto" and "Culture of Resistance". The album inlcluded a special appearance by drummer, Mike Clark. Their latest album,"Movement" reflects more of a chicano culture combined with mexican style of sound. It features songs like "Cocodrilo Jodido" and "Tloque in Nahuaque."
