Artist Biography - Britney Spears
Britney Spears is the pop star whose albums and tours have sold millions around the world. Her career began as one of the last generation of casts on The New Mickey Mouse Club in 1993, but the show was short-lived and the performer would have to wait several years before reentering the eye of the public. It was first as an opening act to boy bands like NSync and Backstreet Boys that she would find a crowd, but soon she began to headline with Britney Spears tickets once MTV debuted the music video for 'Baby One More Time'.
That first album reached number one on the charts and eventually sold enough records to reach diamond level. Spears had become more than a pop sensation with her first album. She had become a national obsession. Her relationship with Justin Timberlake only encouraged the tabloids to follow her every move, as the two became the top pop couple. Britney followed her 1999 release with a 200 release, Oops!...I Did It Again. Again the album reached diamond certification and her first world tour sold Spears tickets to millions who obsessed over the new pop diva.
Britney Spears tickets became Britney tickets with her third album. In 2001, Britney hit the shelves and started the transition from the girl next door to a party girl. Her songs became more adult. 'I'm a Slave 4 U' was an announcement to the world that she was growing up and that she was no longer going to embrace the image as an innocent girl.
The change came with some consequences. The album sales dropped, only selling four times platinum and the end of her relationship with Justin Timberlake seemed to alienate more than a few fans. Still Britney tickets for her world wide tour continued to sell, but a storm was coming that she could not avoid.

'In the Zone' was released in 2003 and was seen as a lopsided disappointment. The single 'Toxic' was panned, but the album still debuted at number one. Despite the strong start, the album sold a mere fraction of her first, only being certified double platinum. While the album was less than a success according to her fans, critics began to lighten their critique of Britney Spears and she even won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. The Britney Spears tickets sold for the promotional tour was the last to be sold as her well-documented troubles soon began.
The tabloids brought their Britney tickets to see a marriage to tour dancer Kevin Federline take her away from the limelight and into the delivery room. She had two children and an image that was seemingly beyond repair. Her problems with KFed, partying, and countless other incidents made her the focus of the front page of every celebrity magazine. Some said she deserved it while some said the treatment was inhumane. Nevertheless, after many questionable decisions and an ill-fated album, Blackout, she recoiled and collected herself. In 2008 her album Circus is due out and it has the chance to rekindle her fading career.
