Bonnie Raitt Tickets for Sale

Bonnie Raitt is touring again. This comes as no surprise. She is one of the most active musicians of the last four decades. This time, Bonnie Raitt tickets are being made available to see her on the road to promote a new album, Slipstream. This is her first new album in seven years and this 2012 effort has been counted among her best in her career and one of the best albums of the year.

The album has one single so far, "Right Down the Line". The song and the album have appealed to the blues and folk-rock community. Luckily, this is the 21st century and the advent of the Internet has made fans of such a specific genre a powerful force when, in any other era, it would be difficult to compete against major genre releases

Throughout her career, Bonnie Raitt has been recognized as an amazing slide guitarist and a master lyricist. Unfortunately, all the critical praise could not turn her early recordings into hit albums. A prolific performer and recording artist in the 1970s, only two of her of her seven releases would attain RIAA certification, Give It Up and Sweet Forgiveness. Decades later, fans have managed to keep her blues-inspired albums of the decade alive.

That would come after her struggle with drugs and alcohol and the Warner Bros. label in the 1980s. Yet, the musicians in the music community supported her. Roy Orbison utilized her as a backup singer long with K.D. Lang and Jennifer Warnes for his television special Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night. The decade would end with her ending her substance abuse and finding the right balance between critically-acclaimed skill and commercial accessibility. Nick of Time, released in 1989 became her first platinum album. In fact, it went quintuple platinum in the United States and triple-platinum in Canada. Luck of the Draw and Longing in Their Hearts followed as multi-platinum hits. They also led to four Grammy Awards.

In the years that followed that burst of commercial success, her album sales again waned. However, she continued to thrive as a touring artist thanks to songs like "Something to Talk About", "I Can't Make you Love Me", and "You Got It". OnlineSeats has the Bonnie Raitt tickets to see the established artist in person.
