Celine Dion Tickets Taking a Break

A Las Vegas residency requires performers to essentially embark on the tours they undertook at the beginning of their career, playing consecutive nights with some time off between the next set of gigs. However, one of the advantages is that during a residency there is much less travel, so there is far less jet, or bus, lag and the days off are far more restful and tranquil.

Still, this forces the fans who have taken time out of their busy schedule to arrive for certain dates. Celine Dion is taking one of these breaks, so anyone whose sole purpose to arrive at the McCarren International Airport and descend upon the Las Vegas strip will have to wait until she returns to the state at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace.

In the meantime, the Robin Leach’s Las Vegas Weekly blog has her gallivanting around town with her man and Perez Hilton has taken notice of her endorsement of the Angel Care Monitor system, a baby monitor available at Wal Mart.

One would think the Colosseum would have another artist lined up to keep the stage warm while the Diva from Due North takes a much deserved break (she has twins and still takes the stage 70 shows a year!), but no, Caesars Palace main stage will remain empty until Dion’s return on July 19, 2011.

She will be on stage just about every night for the rest of July once she returns. Here scheduled July concert dates are below:

Celine Dion Tickets for Oprah at the Daytime Emmy Awards

Celine Dion is truly a class act and it is refreshing to state that on her 30th anniversary in show business. Last night, she took to the stage to perform for the hundreds who came to Las Vegas with Celine Dion tickets to see her sing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Unfortunately, performing meant she had to miss the Daytime Emmy Awards, held at the Las Vegas Hilton. This would not be such an issue, but this particular year is the year the show honored Oprah in her final year on television.

Celine would not miss a chance to honor her friend though, a friend who invited her on so that she could announce her new Vegas show so many months ago. No, Celine took a break, invited a camera crew into the theater and dedicated “Because you Loved Me” to Oprah live from her show.

While Oprah is retiring, Celine Dion is continuing to perform. She began her three year residency on March 15, 2011 and plans to play 70 concert dates a year over that time. Celine Dion’s Las Vegas show has already proven to be just as dominant a show as it was the first time around.
