Blake Shelton is coming off his third consecutive win at The Voice and is celebrating by heading out on the Ten Times Crazier Tour. The break in the show’s recording schedule is giving the country superstar time to support the album Based on a True Story with 30 concert dates scheduled between July 19 and October 5, 2013.
The album could use the support, as Based on a True Story… is threatening to go without any certification from the RIAA. This is a bit of a shock, as it opened number one on the Billboard country charts and number three on the Billboard 200 charts. His previous album, Red River Blue went platinum with similar charting results and in a similar situation, one in which he is getting plenty of publicity because he is on television.
Based on a True Story has been out since late March and has been blessed with mostly positive reviews. In addition, the album has two certified singles. Sure Be Cool If You Did went platinum and topped the country charts and “Boys ‘Round Here” has gone gold and reached number two on the country charts. With all this going for the album (the chart position, the reviews, and the successful songs), the singer he should be golden.
As everything is not going his way, this tour is then quite important. He needs it to get his fans out to purchase albums in droves just as he got fans out to vote for his performer on The Voice. Luckily, the Ten Times Crazier Tour will include the efforts of up-and-coming country singer-songwriter Easton Corbin and former television star Jana Kramer. This is a solid lineup that should make Blake Shelton tickets quite enticing. Fans in search of two supremely solid country leading men and a hot country-pop artist cannot pass on these concert tickets. If they can, then he could always reach out to co-host and good friend Adam Levine for a little help.
